Bridge To Bhutan CARES

Bridge To Bhutan Cares is our passion; it is about creating opportunities… about connecting real solutions to real problems; it is also about delivering hope and justice. Above all, it is about making things happen!

When you travel with us, you're helping ensure a sustainable future for Bhutan. B I I B is not just about visiting Bhutan, taking photographs, returning home and then forgetting about the trip. It is about creating lasting impressions, and connecting people, nature, and spirit.

Keeping in line with our mission, we dedicate ourselves to making tourism work in the interest of everybody who participates. Our social and environmental initiatives are an attempt to help address some of the critical issues that Bhutan and the world at large face today.

To this end, we are continually working, however small, on understanding the challenges and identifying areas of collaboration, both with our clients and organizations/Non-profits such as:

■    Draktsho Vocational Training Center for Special Children and Youth
■    The Bhutan Nuns Foundation
■    Jangsa Animal Saving Trust.
■    Voluntary Artists' Studio - VAST.
■    Royal Society for Protection of Nature.

Bridge To Bhutan continues to contribute to efforts spearheaded by His Majesty the King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck via the Relief Fund and the Kidu (Welfare) Foundation.

While supporting a select group of existing non-profits in the country that address the environment, social, and youth related issues, we also directly oversee some of our own programs. B I I B is currently building the following programs:

■    Carbon Offset
■    Clean Stove Project
■    Village First
■    Training and Awareness

Many of our trips are designed around these initiatives. The trips will entail visiting one or more of the project sites. A few examples would be visiting the school for the disabled children, orphanage, and drug rehab-center. Our programs mainly focus on issues such as youth empowerment, traditional architectural preservation, environmental education, conservation, and organic farming.

Note:
If you are interested and do feel that you can contribute to any of B I I B’s projects or projects managed by the organizations listed on this page, please indicate while communicating with us. You may also contact them directly through the links provided.
